I am interested to know as to why SEZs and STPIs in India prefer to import goods from foreign country. SEZs and STPIs in India place their orders to Foreign vendors rather than getting supplies from Indian/local vendor. Could you please let me know as to why do they do it?
Also can you help me regarding following checklist:
1. Tax issues/benefits that SEZs and STPIs would enjoy if they source their supplies from foreign country i.e., importing.
2. Can you throw light upon the tax issues relating to SEZs and STPIs concerning investments in India and abroad.
